Construction of the environmentally sustainable worship and community space on Pargolla Road began last summer.
It will feature a flexible worship area, rooms for community groups, and a large kitchen with a central table area. Outside, a public Reflection Garden will provide bench seating and planting.
Funded by the sale of three former churches, it will replace the temporary hub in Nansledan.
The centre will also become the new home of Radio Newquay, housing a state-of-the-art studio. The station, which has been broadcasting for nearly seven years, is a not-for-profit community project licensed by Ofcom.
Reverend Clare Anderson, Newquay Methodist Church Minister, says the vision for the building dates back more than 15 years, when congregations began discussing moving out of older church buildings and uniting under one roof in a new purpose-built facility. She describes it as a “positive space” and hopes it will act as a hub for the community while nurturing a community of faith.
People will be able to look around the new building on Saturday, 6th September, at a special open day.
