Newquay Tretherras is celebrating a strong set of A-level results, with 60% of grades at A* to B and more than a quarter at A* to A.
The school says its vocational results are “exceptional once again” and place it in the top 10% of schools nationally, with an average grade of Distinction+.
“There is so much to celebrate and shows that NT6 students more than hold their own nationally – their future is bright!” a school spokesperson said.
A* grades are described as “notoriously difficult to achieve”, yet Annie W, Rhiannon W, and Owen P achieved these in every subject. George C, Jackson L, Callum M, Daisy M, Zak S, and Jenna V gained all A and A* grades across the board. Sophie T, Reuben J, and Eden H all achieved triple Distinction*, and in Vocational PE nine students achieved the highest grade possible of triple Distinction*.
Headteacher Gemma Harries said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our young people. They have worked incredibly hard and deserve every success. This Year 13 cohort have offered us a real sense of joy – they have worked hard, celebrated and supported each other, and should be proud of all they have achieved.”
At the end of their time at the school, Newquay Tretherras wished the class of 2025 “every success in life beyond NT” and said it knows they “have successful and exciting futures ahead of them”.
