Newquay is set to host one of Cornwall’s biggest free family Halloween events later this month, with the annual Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl returning on Saturday 25 October 2025.
The event will feature thousands of participants, including lifeguards, pirates and pop stars, shuffling through the town centre from Station Parade to Sainsbury’s at Alma Place.
This year’s event will include a full day of free workshops, street performances and pop-up entertainment, including face painting, pumpkin carving, circus skills, spooky story times, and a special appearance from Titan the Robot, the world-famous mechanical marvel created in Newquay. Street entertainment will also take place across Central Square, Marcus Hill, the Post Office and Station Parade, with contingency plans for indoor performances if the weather is wet.
Organisers say the Zombie Crawl is just one highlight of Spooky Newquay week, which will also feature a Halloween trail around the town, activities at Trenance Park, and special offers from local shops, cafés and restaurants.
Mark Warren, manager of Love Newquay + Newquay BID, said: “The Zombie Crawl is unlike anything else in Cornwall. It’s a chance for families and visitors to take over the town in the best and scariest way possible, while supporting local businesses.”
The event is organised by Newquay BID with support from Experience Newquay and Cornwall Council’s Good Growth Fund. It is part of wider efforts to promote Newquay as a year-round visitor destination.
