Not-for-profit groups and community organisations in Newquay are being invited to apply for a share of grant funding from Newquay Town Council before the end of the month.
The council has changed how it allocates funds with the second round of the Community Grant Gateway offering £2,500 from each of the authority's committees.
Newquay Mayor, Drew Creek, is urging eligible groups to take advantage of the funding, which has already benefitted groups like Cornwall Pride. It was awarded £2,000 to help stage this year's Pride event at the Killacourt.
Once the deadline has passed, applications will be reviewed, with successful ones going before the relevant committees in October. Depending on the nature of the application, it will be considered by the Environment & Facilities Committee on 10th October, the Community & Tourism Committee on 17th October, or the Governance & Resources Committee, which meets on 25th November.
