The Last Night of the Proms comes to Newquay this weekend.
The concert at St Michael's Church was originally part of the Newquay Fish Festival. When the harbour event ended, the Proms concert, always a popular favourite, moved to St Michael's Church, where it has been a hit ever since.
Organisers, St Michael Lodge, say the concert on Saturday will be brought to life by the Mount Charles Band, "bringing the pomp of the Royal Albert Hall" to the Newquay church.
The line-up will feature all the Last Night of the Proms classics, including Dambusters, Jerusalem, Fantasia on British Sea Songs, and Cornish favourites like Trelawney. There will also be special guest appearances.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their nation's colours and bring flags to wave.
Money raised from the night will be distributed by the lodge to to charities and good causes in Newquay and across Cornwall.
Tickets are £6 for adults, and £4 for seniors (over 65) and children under 16. They are available from the Newquay Tourist Information Centre at Marcus Hill or on Eventbrite. Tickets will also be available on the door.
The concert, which is supported by Start & Co Estate Agents, begins at 7pm.
