South West Water says it has completed planned work to repair a sewage leak on Gannel Road in Newquay.
The company said the repair had been “complex and difficult”, and that Gannel Road will remain closed until Sunday, 19 October, while the road surface is reinstated.
Temporary overland pipes that were installed during the work have now been removed.
A South West Water spokesperson said:
“We have completed planned work to repair a leak on Gannel Road in Newquay.
This has been a complex and difficult repair and as a result Gannel Road will remain closed until Sunday, 19th October while we reinstate the road.
The temporary overland pipes that were installed as part of these works have now been removed.
We’d apologise to residents for the inconvenience this may cause.”
The company thanked residents for their patience while the repairs were carried out.
