Newquay AFC has appealed for the public to "respect" its facilities after skateboarders were spotted on the roof of its Mount Wise clubhouse.
Images posted online on Tuesday show two individuals on top of the building. In a statement, the club expressed frustration over the incident: "This afternoon, we had some unexpected visitors at Mount Wise who decided to use our clubhouse roof for activities better suited to other areas of Newquay. We want to remind everyone that there is a reason our town has a fantastic skate park—please use it!"
The statement continued: "A special thanks goes out to those involved for the damage caused to our roof due to your reckless behaviour. 🙄"
Newquay AFC is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the police or reach out to the club directly via business.newquayafc@gmail.com.
