Flooding has forced the closure of the railway line between Par and Newquay, with all services on the branch cancelled for the rest of the day, Great Western Railway (GWR) has said.
It is the second time in a week the line has been hit by flooding following torrential rain.
The operator confirmed it does not yet know when the line will reopen and is planning for an all-day closure.
A replacement coach service, operated by Roselyn, is running in place of trains. GWR said it will aim to keep to the planned timetable as closely as possible, although times will not be exact. The coach is unable to serve all stations on the route, and passengers at unstaffed stations are being advised to use station Help Points so that road transport can be arranged.
Customers can also use their rail tickets on local bus routes. Go Cornwall Bus services 21 and 21A will accept tickets between St Austell, St Columb Road, Quintrell Downs and Newquay. Route 25 will accept tickets between Par station and St Austell station.
GWR said the arrangements will remain in place until further notice.
