A dog has been rescued by the coastguard after becoming stuck on cliffs at Watergate Bay.
Newquay Coastguard said it was called at lunchtime on Thursday, along with lifeguards and colleagues from Padstow Coastguard, following reports of the animal trapped on the cliffs.
A spokesperson said: "After arriving on scene and assessing the situation, a technical rope rescue was set up and carried out. A rope technician was lowered down to the dog and brought down safely to the bottom of the cliff.
"Thankfully the dog was uninjured and reunited with its owner once back on the ground. We would like to remind people to always keep your dog on a lead when in the vicinity of cliffs, no matter how well behaved you feel they are."
The service thanked the Padstow Coastguard and Newquay Lifeguards for their assistance.
