Changes to a Newquay bus route have been confirmed ahead of the permanent closure of the Trencreek Level Crossing this Thursday.
The Number 59 service, which runs between St Columb Minor and Newquay town centre, will follow a revised route due to the opening of the new Newquay Strategic Route.
From Thursday, the 59 will divert from Treloggan Roundabout via Hendra Roundabout, then follow the new road onto Trevenson Road and Trerice Drive in both directions before rejoining its usual route.
Go Cornwall Bus has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Some residents had voiced concerns over a lack of information about the changes. After Radio Newquay contacted the operator over the weekend, a formal update was published on the Transport for Cornwall website on Monday afternoon.
In a statement issued this morning, the company said:
"I can now confirm the bus will now be diverting from Treloggan Roundabout towards Hendra Roundabout where it will take the new road to the next roundabout, turn left and follow the road into Trevenson Road and Trerice Drive before continuing to do their normal service."
