A charity paddle event which has raised more than £185,000 for children's charities and youth wellbeing projects is set to return to Newquay Harbour on Thursday.

Newquay is set to host four surf-related events this summer, bringing together surfers, filmmakers, businesses, artists and members of the wider board sports community.

There has been discussion both in Parliament and Cornwall Council’s chamber this week about the potential for Cornwall to introduce a “tourism tax” – a levy paid by people holidaying in the Duchy.
