Prince William visited Nansledan on Thursday as part of a two-day visit to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Prince of Wales, who is also the Duke of Cornwall, toured the growing extension to Newquay and viewed plans for the forthcoming Market Street development. It will include a Tesco supermarket, a market hall showcasing Cornish food and drink, independent shops, community space and flexible workspaces.
The scheme is being delivered by the Duchy of Cornwall and has been described as a significant stage in the continued expansion of Nansledan, which was originally overseen by his father, King Charles III, during his time as Duke of Cornwall.
Prince William was also shown around the construction site and took part in a playdough hand cast activity, which is expected to go on display once Market Street is completed.

During the visit, Prince William met with residents, who recently became the first tenants to move into the development’s Build To Rent homes.

On Friday, Prince William is due to travel to St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly where he will officially open new hospital facilities on the island.
