St Mawgan Steam and Vintage Rally promises three days of family entertainment

Steam engines, vintage vehicles, live music and family activities will be among the attractions at this year's St Mawgan Steam and Vintage Rally.

The three-day event, which runs between Friday 18 and Sunday 20 September, will feature a packed programme of displays and entertainment, with activities taking place throughout the day and into the evening.

The main ring will host steam engines, tractors and other vintage vehicles, alongside farrier demonstrations and competitions.

Visitors will also be able to take part in activities including laser tag, archery and axe throwing, while a dog show and agility events will also take place.

Organisers say there will be plenty for younger visitors, as well as trade and craft stalls, food outlets and the rally's Vintage Tea Tent.

Evening entertainment

Live music and entertainment will continue after the daytime programme finishes.

Friday night's line-up will feature Reservoir Stogs followed by a disco.

On Saturday, Treviglas-based band Reset and the Cabaret Singers will perform before Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling takes to the stage at 21:00.

Music and dancing will then continue into the evening.

The entertainment continues on Sunday afternoon with a performance from Arthur Panter.

Organisers have described the rally as a "proper weekend out for all the family", combining traditional steam and vintage attractions with children's activities and evening entertainment.
