This weekend, some of the UK’s best young surfers will head to Fistral Beach as the Rip Curl Grom Search returns to Cornwall for 2026.
The event, which is the UK stop of the international competition, will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May.
Young surfers will battle it out for a place at the European Final and the chance to progress to the Rip Curl Grom Search World Final.
Organisers say the competition will feature some of the country’s top junior shortboard surfers, with divisions including Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 boys’ and girls’ categories.
Spectators are being invited to head to Fistral Beach across the weekend to watch the action and enjoy activities taking place alongside the competition.
Surfing England said: “We’ll have some seriously fun activations happening all weekend - including event sponsor Citroën bringing the energy with the C5 Aircross ‘Pack the Car Challenge’ for your chance to win an epic surfboard giveaway.
“Plus, sponsors I-SEA and Sun Bum will be hooking people up with epic giveaways and surprises throughout the weekend too.”
