A 48-year-old man has been put on sex offenders register after exposing himself to passing motorists in Newquay

He has also been ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid community work. 

Kiran Rabdiya, of Stanmore, London, was found guilty of exposure and possession of a class A drug following a trial at Truro Crown Court.

The conviction follows his arrest on 14 September 2024 after he was reported to the police for acting suspiciously in Newquay during the early hours of the morning. Police worked with Newquay Council CCTV to search for the man, who they sighted exposing himself on a nearby road to passing motorists.

He was arrested by officers and a quantity of cocaine seized. 

Appearing before the court on the 6th of August (2026), Rabdiya was sentenced to three months imprisonment, suspended for 24 months. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for seven years, complete 100 hours of unpaid work and undertake 20 days of rehabilitation activity.

A breach of the suspended sentenced will result in jail time.

“Everybody should be able to go about their daily lives without fear of being subject to this intimidating behaviour.

“We remain committed to tackling this type of behaviour, supporting victims and pursuing those who are responsible for these offences to ensure they are brought before the courts".
