In this lively and comedic pantomime adaptation of J. M. Barrie’s classic tale written by this years director Justin, audiences are whisked from Victorian London to the magical world of Neverland - where adventure, laughter, and plenty of audience participation await.
The story begins in the Darling nursery, where Wendy, John, and Michael dream of faraway adventures. Their ordinary night turns extraordinary when Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up, and his feisty fairy companion Tinker Bell with her apprentice Twinkle burst through the window in search of Peter’s mischievous shadow. With a little fairy dust and a lot of happy thoughts, the children soar off to Neverland, accompanied by Nana the dog - who gains the power of speech!
In Neverland, the Darlings meet the Lost Boys, the spirited Neverlanders led by Tiger Lily, and face off against the infamous pirate Captain Hook and his bumbling sidekick Smee, along with a crew of delightfully daft pirates (and the scene-stealing Dame Myrtle McRumpus, Smee’s outrageous aunt). Hook is determined to take revenge on Peter for feeding his hand to the ticking crocodile Tick Tock, leading to a series of daring rescues, comic chases, and sword fights aboard the Jolly Roger.
With catchy modern songs, slapstick humour, magical effects, and classic pantomime call-and-response moments (“He’s behind you!”), Peter Pan celebrates the spirit of imagination, friendship, and never growing up.
As the curtain falls, good triumphs over evil, the Darlings return safely home, and audiences are left believing — if only they clap loudly enough — that fairies (and childhood dreams) really do exist.
