Huer' To Harbour Fun Run

Lace up your running shoes and join us at the Huer’s Hut for this exciting community event. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or simply looking for a fun activity with the family, this short route is suitable for all levels of fitness. The picturesque, mile-long course offers stunning coastal views that will keep you motivated right to the finish line.

Families are invited to take part in the second Huer to Harbour Pilchard Run, which begins at the Huer’s Hut on King Edward Crescent. Participants can run or walk through Newquay town centre, across Towan Beach, and finish at the mouth of Newquay Harbour.

Everyone is encouraged to dress in shiny clothing – or even a fish costume if you have one – to represent pilchards and celebrate the town’s rich fishing heritage.

At the harbour, a variety of stalls, activities, and food outlets will be available for families to enjoy, alongside live performances of sea shanties from a local choir.
